Now Introducing: Multi-Angle Tracker for Equine Tendon Imaging

Multi-Angle Tracker equine tendon imaging gives you more insight where it matters. Standard UTC scans already offer sharp, objective images. But angled structures in the horse like the superficial (SDFT) and deep (DDFT) tendon in the fetlock region, the inferior check ligament (ICL) and the proximal origin of the Suspensory Ligament (SL) can remain partly hidden as a consequence of inappropriate insonation.

The Multi-Angle Tracker solves this. It scans from three different angles, tilted along the short axis, to both sides of the plumb line, helping you see tendon tissue from different directions. That means fibers that normally reflect away from the probe become visible.

Built for equine practice

Ultrasound plays a key role in equine tendon assessment — and the UTC Tracker already provides exceptional imaging quality and reproducibility. But when tendon fibers lie at an angle, for example in the inferior check ligament (ICL), standard scanning may miss critical details, see Figs.

The Multi-Angle Tracker changes that. It captures three scans from different angles. Each one shows unique parts of the structure and can be interpreted with all details visible over a length of 12 cm.

Designed for veterinary use

This advancement is especially important for equine specialists. The suspensory ligament is both crucial and notoriously hard to image. Thanks to angled scanning, you now get:

  • Better visibility of oblique fibers
  • A fuller 3D view of the ligament
  • Greater accuracy in injury assessment and pre-purchase exams

This helps you make informed clinical decisions — especially in complex or high-stakes cases.

A flexible upgrade, not a replacement

The standard UTC Tracker continues to deliver excellent imaging for most clinical situations. The Multi-Angle Tracker offers an optional upgrade for those who want additional perspectives in specific cases.

It doesn’t replace the system you already trust — it enhances it where needed.

Quick and easy upgrade process

If you use a third-generation UTC system (from 2022 onward), your tracker may be eligible for upgrade.

  • You send us the tracker only
  • We upgrade the hardware
  • Software is updated remotely
  • You receive it back within one week

Prices for the upgrade start from €6,000. No additional training is required if you already work with UTC Imaging.

If you want to stay ahead in equine diagnostics, Multi-Angle Tracker equine tendon imaging is the next logical step.
